Solange Unveils Short Film ‘Shakersss.mov’ 🎥

Solange returns with yet another breathtaking visual.

As reported by Complex, the versatile artist has recently unveiled a short VHS film titled Shakersss.mov. The film will be showcased at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles from February 16 to May 4, as part of the American Gurl: home—land exhibition. Knowles both stars in and directed this self-documentary film, which has a runtime of just over eight minutes.

Along with her creative direction on the visual piece, Solange also shared a heartfelt message with the audience regarding the interconnectedness of the film and water.

“Embrace the individuals, locations, and objects that make you feel visible, embraced, and secure! And remember to hold onto yourself during low tides,” Solange expressed on the website.

“I created this little film Shakersss for no particular reason other than to remind myself that light always finds a way to emerge, and if you nurture the uncertainties enough, answers will surfacing within you with unwavering faith.”
