Peter Rosenberg Honored in Billboard’s Power Players 🎤

HOT97’s very own Peter Rosenberg has been recognized as one of Billboard’s “Sports and Music Power Players.” This list highlights some of the most impactful figures within the realms of music and sports.

As stated by the publication, “the collaboration between the sports and music industries is more robust than ever and is set to expand further. Looking ahead to another year filled with achievements and significant moments, Billboard unveils its second edition of the most powerful individuals in sports and music — influential executives and cultural icons striving for championship recognition.”

In an interview with Billboard, Rosenberg reflected on his significant journey in the media landscape.

“I didn’t aim to work where music and sports meet — it’s just who I am,” Rosenberg remarked. “My enthusiasm for both has always driven me, and my career naturally led me here.”

For nearly twenty years, Rosenberg has been a pioneer in hip-hop culture. He currently co-hosts HOT97’s flagship show Ebro in the Morning, which airs weekdays from 5 to 10 AM. Additionally, he co-hosts the veteran podcast Juan Ep Is Life with Cipha Sounds. Since its inception in 2007, this show has distinguished itself as one of the first podcasts dedicated to hip-hop.

On the sports front, Rosenberg is a staple at ESPN Radio, hosting the prestigious sports talk show The Michael Kay Show, which was simulcast on the YES Network. He now co-hosts Don, Hahn & Rosenberg alongside Don La Greca and Alan Hahn.

In the realm of wrestling, Rosenberg is regarded as a “go-to expert,” serving as a host and personality for WWE. His presence was felt at WWE’s 2024 premium live event Bad Blood, where he interviewed artists Killer Mike and Lil Yachty. He is also the host of the podcast Cheap Heat, in which he shares weekly recaps of the latest wrestling news and interviews various WWE Superstars.
