Gap has teamed up with Harlem’s Fashion Row (HFR) to introduce a 16-piece, limited-edition collection curated by six talented Black designers.
Launching on February 11 (Friday) in honor of Black History Month, the capsule collection “reimagines Gap’s most iconic wardrobe essentials.”
A. Potts, BruceGlen, KAPHILL, N’Gai, and Richfresh are the visionaries behind this collection.
On Thursday, February 13, Gap and Harlem’s Fashion Row revealed the collection at an exclusive event in Gap’s San Francisco headquarters. The immersive showcase melds “storytelling with fashion and movement,” perfectly timed before the NBA’s All-Star Weekend in the city.
Brandice Daniel, CEO & Founder of Harlem’s Fashion Row, shared her enthusiasm about the collaboration in a statement.
“Our collaboration with Gap extends beyond fashion; it’s about creating pathways, challenging norms, and elevating the voices of these exceptionally talented designers,” stated Brandice Daniel, CEO & Founder of Harlem’s Fashion Row.
“This partnership carries profound significance as it symbolizes the growth of our collective vision to redefine opportunities for designers of color,” Daniel added. “Together, we not only celebrate creativity but also build a legacy of inclusivity and empowerment that will motivate future generations.”
“This alliance aligns seamlessly with our mutual goal to uplift creators and enable them to showcase their talents to the world,” remarked Mark Breitbard, President & CEO of Gap brand. “Each designer’s creativity shines brightly—drawing inspiration from Gap’s Heritage while offering a fresh, authentic viewpoint that culminates in a genuinely original collection. We are thrilled to unite our communities in celebration in San Francisco, a city known for its creativity and innovation.”
Ranging in price from $89 to $129, the Gap × Harlem’s Fashion Row collection will be available on gap.com and at select Gap stores starting February 14 at 12 p.m. ET / 9 a.m. PT.
