Snoop Dogg has now publicly responded to the backlash he faced for his performance at the Crypto Ball event honoring Donald Trump.
The artist took to Instagram Live to share with his followers that they need not worry about his choices. Following the announcement of his performance, Snoop encountered a significant amount of criticism from fans; yet, he claimed that it didnโt affect him.
โItโs Sunday man, I got gospel in my heart. For all that hate, Iโm going to respond with love. Yโall canโt hate enough on me. I love too much,โ Snoop expressed. โGet your life right, stop concerning yourself with mine. Iโm good, Iโm solid. Still a Black man, still 100 percent Black.โ
Despite the negative responses, Snoop also found some allies backing his choice. Stephen A. Smith suggested that Snoopโs decision was a โbusiness move.โ Notably, during Trumpโs first presidency, Snoop had some outspoken criticisms directed at him.
In a conversation with Londonโs Sunday Times, Snoop mentioned that he held โnothing but love and respectโ for Trump, particularly appreciating his decision to pardon Michael โHarry-Oโ Harris, co-founder and former CEO of Death Row Records.
โHe ainโt done nothing wrong to me. He has only done great things for me. He pardoned Michael Harris,โ Snoop remarked during the interview.
