Rick Ross is under financial examination from the Georgia Department of Revenue, which claims the rapper owes close to $65,000 in unpaid taxes.

As reported by In Touch, the state initiated a tax execution against Ross at the end of last year, asserting that he did not pay $64,995.21 for 2021. This amount reflects the initial $29,043 tax bill, plus interest, collection costs, and other fees.

The MMG founder is well-known for his extensive real estate holdings. He is the owner of a vast 109-room mansion in Fayetteville, Georgia, which was previously owned by boxing great Evander Holyfield.

In addition, Ross acquired an opulent home on Star Island in Miami for $35 million in 2023, a distinguished area also inhabited by Diddy. Despite his robust real estate portfolio, the rapper appears eager to grow it even more. Recently, Ross revealed interest in purchasing an estate in Atlanta that belongs to Cardi B.

In December, Cardi took to X to post a picture of her expansive property, captioning it, โ€œMy casa [heart emoji]. I donโ€™t want it no more though.โ€

Following her post going viral, Ross expressed his interest on Instagram, inquiring, โ€œAsking price?โ€ This interaction stirred up speculation about Ross possibly adding another prestigious property to his real estate collection.

Cardi has openly shared her dislike for living in Atlanta, the hometown of her estranged husband Offset. Discussing her experience on Instagram Live last year after filing for divorce, she noted, โ€œI donโ€™t live in Atlanta. I have a house there, but I only visit three or four times a year for maybe a week at most. I tried moving there in 2018 and stayed for six months. I hated it. I donโ€™t have friends or family in Atlanta, so it just wasnโ€™t for me.โ€

On the other hand, Rick Ross has made considerable strides in Atlantaโ€™s real estate market. In 2023, he acquired Meek Millโ€™s mansion in Atlanta for over $4 million. The property had been available for more than two years before Ross purchased it outright with cash. His realtor, Alisha Gillooly, commended the transaction, stating, โ€œThis deal solidifies his impact on the luxury market.โ€

While Rick Ross continues to enhance his real estate empire, the tax issue looms over his financial pursuits. Given his history of notable acquisitions, all attention is on how the โ€œBiggest Bawseโ€ manages this situation.
