O.J. Simpson’s estate has initiated a legal suit against his son, Justin Simpson.
Based on reports, the estate alleges that Justin moved into his late father’s residence without authorization following his death. Malcolm LaVergne, representing the estate, is also pursuing legal action against Justin’s business, Primary Holdings, LLC.
The lawsuit asserts that Justin’s company purchased the home after the NFL icon’s demise to “prevent creditors from seizing the property.” However, after O.J.’s passing, Justin allegedly moved in and is refusing to vacate or reimburse the estate for the payments made on the property.
LaVergne further contends that O.J. made payments on his Florida home and intended for it to remain part of the estate. Justin’s occupation of the house contradicts the instructions laid out in O.J.’s will. The estate is seeking a judgment of $33.5 million, which is owed to the families of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman.
In 1997, O.J. Simpson was deemed liable for the 1994 murders of Brown-Simpson and Goldman, who were found fatally stabbed outside of Nicole Brown-Simpson’s residence. O.J. Simpson was acquitted of murder charges a year later.
The judgment has accrued interest and remains unpaid, with the total amount due now approaching $100 million.
