Usher Reveals Relationship Boundaries with Wife Jennifer ❤️

Usher emphasizes that boundaries are crucial for a successful relationship. 

In a recent episode of Baby, This Is Keke Palmer, Usher discussed how he and his wife, Jennifer Goicoechea Raymond, established boundaries to safeguard their relationship, given that both are involved in the entertainment field.

Despite Jennifer’s success as a record executive, the couple decided against collaborating professionally.

“I truly value her feedback on various matters,” Usher noted. “She is an amazing sounding board and often brings tranquility to my chaos.”

“However, if we had to collaborate, oh my goodness, it wouldn’t work. It could harm our relationship,” he remarked.

Usher mentioned that this is a “policy” that they both have agreed upon.

“If this is a business you’re involved in, I’m going to assist in developing and nurturing it. But it’s your venture, you know, and we have our endeavors together, but it’s not obligatory,” the R&B icon stated. “It’s a decision within the relationship.”

“Your pursuits are your own, mine are mine. I have my passions, and I seek your support, your guidance, and counsel,” Usher proceeded. “But with these clear boundaries set, I believe it will foster a more sustainable relationship.”

Furthermore, the “You Remind Me” artist mentioned that effective communication leads to a strong relationship.

“She comprehends my language, and I grasp hers,” he remarked. “We know how to listen to each other, not just hear each other. It’s one thing to have the floor to speak, but having the ability to listen—that’s the key to successful relationships in life, period.”

“And having a partner who understands the world or the concept of that world along with its demands of commitment and dedication genuinely helps,” Usher added. “It truly does make a difference.”

After dating for several years, Usher and Jennifer were married in a ceremony following his performance at Super Bowl LVIII.

The week of their wedding, Usher spoke with People about his affection for Jennifer.
