Drake took a swipe at LeBron James by modifying the lyrics to “Nonstop” during the opening of his Anita Max Win Tour in Australia.

In the 2018 song, Drake alluded to the NBA icon, rapping, “How I go from 6 to 23 like I’m LeBron?” However, at his Perth concert on Tuesday (February 4), he made a slight alteration—which suggested underlying tensions over the past year. Drake then declared, “How do I go from 6 to 23 but not LeBron, man?”

Drake’s Latest Diss: Subtle Shots at LeBron, Loyalty Under Fire in Feud with Kendrick

Moreover, Drake’s recent remark follows closely behind what seems to be an insult directed at the Lakers legend in “Fighting Irish Freestyle.” The track, named after LeBron’s high school team, serves up various digs at the NBA superstar. The rapper seems to reference LeBron’s attendance at Kendrick Lamar‘s Pop Out concert last summer, as he raps, “The world fell in love with the gimmicks, even my brothers got tickets / Seemed like they loved every minute / Just know this shit is personal to us, and it wasn’t just business.”

Drake also alludes to the close friendship they once had: “‘Member we tradin’ watches? I gave you that Arabic dial, you gave me a numbered edition / You would even check up on my son like a pediatrician / Sure convinced the gang this shit was rooted in love when it isn’t / Show me how different we are, there’s blessings in juxtaposition.”

Furthermore, Drake seemingly calls LeBron out for treachery amidst his conflict with Kendrick. He raps, “I guess now you boys gotta abandon your summer tradition / Cold shoulders I gave in the Hamptons, it come with the distance / Figured we was always gon’ be close, like ovens and kitchens / I was sadly mistaken, the loyalty wasn’t a given.” As the night concluded, the 6 God left the crowd with a powerful statement, saying, “My name is Drake. I started doing music in 2008. I come all the way from Toronto, Canada. The year is now 2025, and no matter what, Drizzy Drake is very much alive and that’s all thanks to you. I love you.”
